The primary task is to create and manage a mix of original reporting, contributors, and curated content for 3 digital newsletters covering the sensor industry. Subject expertise in engineering is required with knowledge of Sensors and Sensor-Integrated Systems highly desirable. Must have ability to combine technical information with a renewed focus on real-world applications of sensors.
Relying on your technical background, you will drive conference content for the annual Sensors Expo & Conference program as well as manage the annual Best of Sensors Expo Awards Program.
Other duties will include, but are not limited to, some conference travel, social media, and conducting webinars. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
• Maintain corresponding Web sites for all publications; Coordinate smooth, timely delivery and posting of content; Report and write timely and engaging features and news stories
• A track record of creating high-interest, high-impact content in multiple formats; Work to help develop slide-shows and other editorial features to boost page-views
• Optimizing content with links to related stories, tags to facilitate search, and cross-links to other relevant coverage
• Ability to balance magazine editorial role with event conference content role
• Ability to work independently as well as part of show event team
• Ongoing learning about digital media strategies and professional growth
• Significant two-way activity on social networks
• Location is flexible for the right digital journalist
• Great analytical skills
• Experience with Drupal and Silverpop is a plus but not required
• Experience level: 5 to 10 years
