This Partner Manager position is part of HBO’s Domestic Network Distribution (DND) department. DND works with HBO’s distribution partners to market and deliver the best entertainment viewing experiences to our customers.
The Partner Manager position is responsible for the day-to-day relationship and ongoing marketing activities with several key Mobile, Tablet, Connected TV and Game Console digital partners for HBO GO and MAX GO. Position acts as a primary liaison with partner representatives focused on all aspects of ongoing partnership management and corresponding campaign creative and marketing material support. Manage the flow of marketing communications to the partner from both internal and external stakeholders. Maintain a consistent stream of knowledge and information to all team members while actively supporting and capitalizing on new promotional opportunities.
This position works closely with all groups within Domestic Network Distribution and Marketing, Creative Services, Consumer Marketing, Advertising, Legal, Finance, Media Relations, and Digital Products to facilitate HBO’s strategic, creative, tactical and legal objectives. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee all activities related to the day-to-day management and implementation of HBO’s marketing efforts with designated partners in an effort to drive HBO GO and MAX GO awareness.
• Responsible for analyzing effectiveness of campaign efforts and sharing best practices.
• Act as key relationship manager with his/her peers at respective partner.
• Interface with internal stakeholders and senior level partners to develop and execute individual national marketing campaigns across digital, print, TV and other media outlets.
• Ensure appropriate strategic and creative execution of all print and video marketing materials based upon overall brand objectives. Also ensure partner compliance with campaigns, offers, Legal and HBO/MAX brand guidelines.
• Track key competitive trends and transactional activity. Make strategic and timely recommendations to address the most relevant issues/challenges/opportunities facing HBO/MAX GO and partners.
• Make appropriate budget recommendations based upon a solid ROI understanding. Oversee marketing budget spending on specific projects as needed.
• Develop and implement added-value tie-ins, and other partnership opportunities when applicable.
• Manage cross-functional teams to ensure flawless and timely execution of all campaigns.
• Responsible for the day-to-day account service and marketing for the Google Fiber account
• Create and deliver sales and marketing presentations
• Manage a direct report providing strategic leadership, and creative problem-solving while demonstrating agility and resiliency
REQUIREMENTS
• A minimum of 5 years partner management and/or marketing experience with an ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, lead cross-functional teams and perform under pressure and pay close attention to detail while maintaining focus on the big picture
• Must be a strong marketer with project management experience, understanding of the creative approval process, experience with effective media tactics
• Strong knowledge of the digital media space and a passion for new technology platforms and products is required. Working relationships within the digital media space is a plus
• Intermediate level understanding of technology and digital distribution platforms
• Entertainment industry and/or digital media experience a plus
• The ability to think creatively and strategically
• Excellent organization, time management, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to travel and attend industry events and conferences.
• Must be able to interface up to the Senior Vice President level is essential.
• Candidates should be resourceful, outgoing and possess both marketing and analytical expertise
