Job Requirements
The Executive Director, Monetization Platforms, is responsible for the product evolution of platforms that support all advertising and commerce revenue across web and mobile properties. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, innovator, and seasoned operator. Responsibilities:
- Lead teams responsible for the product evolution of digital advertising and commerce platforms
- Work closely with advertising, marketing and the newsroom to ensure that user and commercial interests are balanced and aligned
- Develop and execute on advertising and commerce platform roadmaps, together with engineering, design, program management and QA
- Stay abreast of developments in advertising and commerce products and technologies to identify opportunities and shape roadmaps
- Oversee data analysis and testing to define product and platform strategy, and inform prioritization Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in progressively more senior roles managing product responsibilities at a media company or online business
- Entrepreneurial drive and proven track record of meeting and exceeding stretch goals
- Thorough understanding of web and mobile products, technologies, development processes and business models in complex and highly scalable contexts
- Passion for building world-class product experiences
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving, negotiating and decision making skills

- BA/BS in technical field or related background; MBA preferred
