Amazon Fashion is looking for a writer and fashion enthusiast to join our team. The fashion copywriter will be responsible for writing all on-site copy for the clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry, and watches categories. S/he will work closely with the style editor, as well as the rest of the editorial, marketing, and site merchandising teams.
The successful candidate will be a succinct, engaging writer with an elevated voice and the ability to write for different audiences (women, men, juniors, moms). S/he will be as comfortable writing about contemporary and designer product as athletic and outdoor. S/he quickly learns from feedback and applies the knowledge going forward. Candidates must be comfortable establishing and refining process, and managing deadlines. S/he will be capable of handling multiple projects at once and able to deal with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities. Candidates must be successful both as individual contributors and in a team environment, and be comfortable working with cross-functional teams. Obsession with customer service is a must, as well as an interest in fashion. This position is located in our Seattle, WA headquarters.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Own all site copy for the fashion categories, including editorial features, promotions, brand stores, and SEO blurbs.
- Research and write engaging, on-brand copy for fashion editorial stories that highlights key trends and product features
- Collaborate with marketing, site merchandising, and design on messaging and execution of site graphics
- Use and update the copy style guides
- Write off-site copy for PR and marketing initiatives as needed
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years relevant work experience writing for print or online
- BA / BS required
