Job description:
The Washington Business Journal is looking for a versatile marketing designer to fill a key role in its Creative Services team. This position will support the Events, Audience Development and Advertising teams in promoting the Business Journal’s many editorial products and its signature events.
Job responsibilities:
This position will lead our email marketing effort and monitor marketing analytics for its effectiveness. Also, this position will develop and execute campaign ideas, design and collateral for Washington Business Journal events on multiple platforms (web and print ads, emails, awards, postcards, signage, etc.), as well as marketing and sales materials.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree • Experience: Three to five years online and print design.
Skills required:
• Knowledge of CAN_SPAM laws, requirements and best practices
• Intermediate knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Ability to troubleshoot HTML code issues and ensure code meets web standards (W3 School)
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (CS5)
• Copy writing experience
• Experience with ExactTarget or similar email program; Omniture Reports & Analytics (Adobe SiteCatalyst); SalesForce; and FTP/web hosting also preferred.
