Responsibilities Oversee approx 30 news sites to ensure timely coverage of breaking news and town affairs Manage a team of (8-12) reporters Help drive traffic to our articles and sites Requirements Drive and flexibility Nimble, self-starting work style Ability to work quickly under deadline pressure Strong planning and multitasking skills Digital savvy and understanding of community news Strong news reporting, writing and editing Knowledge of how to take news photos and videos Online news storytelling ability Skill at the uses of social media to drive traffic Experience Minimum 8 years in news reporting Minimum 1 year in a newsroom managerial position Familiarity with SEO, Web traffic analytics, content management systems and Google Apps helpful.
