Lead Graphic Designer

Job Requirements About the Position
We are looking for an experienced, reliable and exceptionally talented Lead Graphic Designer with solid experience producing design deliverables for web. The ideal candidate will be an efficient, enthusiastic team player with a desire to work at a high-energy startup with long term potential.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for all graphic design requests of the company, including but not limited to website assets, emails, online acquisition assets, and print collateral.
• Work collaboratively with business owners, product managers, and marketers to create compelling, engaging and brand-consistent campaigns across all mediums.
• Guide design projects through all phases of the design process, and ensure final production is executed to the approved design.
• Advocate for innovation while balancing user needs, product branding, budget, priority and schedule.
• Proactively develop and document style guide best practices ensuring a consistent look and feel to all projects.
• Manage 1 direct report

REQUIREMENTS
Lead Design
• Excellent eye for design, typography, illustration and photography
• Solid understanding of branding
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into effective design solutions
• Ability to work with multiple internal clients at every level, from intern to CEO
• Experience critiquing and improving creative design work
• Expert understanding of color builds for both web and print
• Experience leading design

Web Design
• Experience producing mockups and designs for websites, landing pages and applications
• Experience preparing images for web
• Experience working with front end developers
• Baseline understanding of HTML and CSS coding

Product/UX design
• Understanding of fundamental UX principals and best practices
• Experience with responsive/mobile design

Software
• Experience with and expert knowledge of CS6 Photoshop on Macintosh platform
• Experience using CS6 Illustrator to create logos, icons and vector graphics
• Experience with InDesign producing print-ready graphics on Macintosh platform

General
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently under tight, ever-changing deadlines
• Extremely detail oriented
• Solid work ethic
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
• Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple jobs
