EVINS, a New York City-based, luxury PR/marketing agency, is looking for a dynamic and motivated Senior Account Executive for our Wine & Spirits division. Established over 25 years ago, we are an award winning agency that is consistently recognized by our peers for our expertise within the lifestyle, food & beverage, and hospitality space. Rapidly growing and with great faith in our employees, we are looking to round out our team as we continue to set industry standards through brand / campaign management and ideation.
The Senior Account Executive will have responsibility for account profitability, new business solicitation, quality of account service and employee engagement. He/she will be responsible for managing overall account team performance as it relates to client service and quality control on multiple sizeable pieces of business. He/She will report directly to the Director of the division.
Responsibilities
SAE responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
-Monitor and identify trends/hot topics in the wine / spirits industry on a daily basis and apply them to client needs and programming
-Ideate and execute strategic media plans, based on client needs:
-Draft press releases on topics including new hires, product enhancements, partnerships and product campaigns for clients
Cultivate relationships with top-tier consumer, business and trade press
Coordinate media tours and press events
Secure and staff press meetings for clients
Identify and draft pitch opportunities for clients
Develop and manage comprehensive media databases for clients
-Serve as a day-to-day contact for clients
-Assist with core message development for brand platforms
-Identify and forge relationships with relevant strategic partners
-Oversee event execution, as in line with client platforms
Qualifications
- College degree in relevant field such as Marketing, PR, Communications, and Journalism
-Minimum 5 years’ experience in media relations
-Must have experience in wine and spirits PR
-Must have strong media contacts, especially in broadcast
-Impeccable writing and analytical abilities
-Excellent presentation, verbal, and interpersonal skills
-Able to work independently and as part of a team
-Strongly motivated and proactive in nature
-Ability to manage junior staff members
-Availability to travel and work occasional evening and/or weekend events
-Work and excel in a fast-paced work environment
-Personable and outgoing style with a knack for proactive problem-solving
