Job Requirements RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collaborate with creative team members to determine concept, brand and copy directions.
• Translate concepts into effective messages in collaboration with Project Managers, Designers and internal clients; address marketing challenges in a fresh, unique and original way while building the American Red Cross brand.
• Articulate a vision and voice for the brand consistent with the tone and essence
• Interact with project teams to understand business objectives and audiences
• Contribute to brainstorming and creative brief development
• Advise Creative Resources Director and Brand Marketing Director, as well as other team members, on improving processes
• Ensures content is reflective of corporate culture and image.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Language Arts, Business, Business Administration or related field required.
• 5-7 years agency and/or creative marketing experience with solid and demonstrated experience writing for on-air, print, out of home and digital executions from concept
• Comfortable with both B2B and B2C writing.
• Above average creativity and ability to sell ideas with passion, present work to clients in a clear and compelling manner and the capacity to process and incorporate client feedback.
• Impeccable grammar.
• The ability to handle multiple projects at once, prioritize them properly and deliver first-rate work on each one.
• Work well under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment.
• Humanitarian spirit.

About Our Company Job Summary :
The Brand and Creative Marketing team is responsible for building the American Red Cross brand and creating compelling brand content. This unit serves as an in-house agency for internal lines of business and works with outside creative shops to produce all collateral to help connect the American public to the mission of the Red Cross.

Reporting to the Director of Creative Resources with responsibilities to the Director of Brand Marketing, the Senior Associate- Copywriter will collaborate across all business units (focusing initially on Preparedness/Health/Safety and Development/ Fundraising) to provide creative and effective ideas and copy for advertising, marketing, fundraising and general creative campaigns, expressing the Red Cross brand voice in a compelling, powerful manner. Working closely with designers and project managers, he/she would produce integrated campaigns as well as stand-alone pieces of work that are strategic, innovative and net measurable results. Responsibilities include: Gathering information designed to educate and inform the public and preparing non-technical articles and written materials for in-house publications, media, and externally distributed news releases, pamphlets, brochures, and related materials. This position is located in Washington, DC.
