Working as a creative team member, develops graphic art concepts and executes print designs for SIRIUS XM’s marketing, advertising, sales, promotional and customer care initiatives. A highly motivated print Designer who understands the entertainment industry, and is comfortable being part of an in-house team but understand the timelines and pressure of an agency. The Senior Graphic Designer will be responsible for all stages in the design process, spanning from concept to execution. Must have strong conceptual Key art portfolio and expert Photoshop retouching abilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Responsible for design conception and execution of key art and promotional materials.
•Must have expert Photoshop retouching skills on very time sensitive materials.
•Work on creative marketing efforts including Key art, brochures, posters, point-of-sale material, trade shows, presentations, banner ads, emails and marketing videos.
•Work in a collaborative creative marketing environment.
•Ability to create multiple design options for every job and presents work to CD.
•Ability to give clear direction to designer(s) when leading a project.
•Ensure that all design work maintains the SIRIUS XM Radio brand standard, while meeting business partner print requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
•At least five (5) to seven (7) years of related art direction in marketing and/or advertising.
•Experience in entertainment marketing preferred.
•Bachelor’s degree in Fine or Graphic Arts.
Requirements and General Skills:
•Must be highly artistic, creative and able to develop and execute visual ideas that fully support the creative brief.
•Solid background in print, branding and typography.
•Experience working with marketing departments.
•Must have a collaborative work process.
•Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
•Resourceful self-starter.
•Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
•Must be able to take ownership of large projects and manage them within a fast paced timeline.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Must be able to collaborate with a copywriter and take direction from a Creative Director when needed.
Technical Skills:
•Impeccable Photoshop skills.
•Retouching and color correction expertise.
•Fluency in InDesign and Illustrator CS. After Effects or Cinema 4D a plus.
•Acrobat Professional including digital workflow via annotations.
•Knowledge of printing/publishing requirements and techniques.
•Pre-press production skills.
•Knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
