This print publishing sales whiz must have a proven track record in cultivating sales targets and closing sales. The candidate must be able to work well in an entrepreneurial environment and contribute to new strategies and tactics as the business evolves and new revenue opportunities develop.
We’re looking for a sales go-getter who wants to change the publishing paradigm and spend the rest of his or her career making a difference in the world.
Responsibilities/Opportunities:
• Parlay your years of experience in print publishing into a position with a publisher that has started three new titles in the past year and has significant expansion plans in the works.
• Generate revenue through sales of our monthly glossy magazines targeted teachers, first responders and other special niches.
• Provide creative energy to invent and fuel sales strategies that can be converted to revenue growth.
• Prospect for, and aggressively pursue, targeted leads and sales opportunities.
• Contribute to strategic planning and new product development.
• Contribute to materials to be used in all sales communication
• Obtain new clients
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Make use of our proprietary sales tools and strategies to exceed your sales goals.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree; five years related sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Superior verbal and communication skills; our business is built on relationships.
• Proven closer.
• Ability to consultatively sell multiple publications.
• Detail-oriented and able to multi-task efficiently.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Successful applicants are goal oriented, self-starters who thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
