Job Requirements RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assigning, editing and publishing news stories with rapid-fire turnaround
• Cultivating industry relationships to stay ahead of breaking news
• Supervising and working with reporters on story and content development
• Copy-editing, fact-checking and prepping stories for publication
• Writing compelling news, headlines, photo captions and pull quotes

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years in editor position either online or print
• Proven experience copyediting other writers’ work
• Background in entertainment reporting
• Excellent knowledge of current theater news and relevant history
• Proven ability to work quickly and accurately
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, work well in a team environment, have the ability to multitask on deadline and adapt constructively to change.
• Flexibility in working hours to accommodate off-cycle news
• Some HTML, Photoshop experience
• On-screen and/or broadcast experience a plus
