Bauer Publishing is looking for a highly organized copy editor to assist the managing editor and copy chief in the production of three celebrity weeklies. Five years copyediting experience at a weekly magazine required; knowledge of celebrities and pop culture preferred. Must possess excellent knowledge of AP style.
Requirements:
• Ability to track and copyedit pages for three weekly magazines while under tight deadlines.
• Ability to enforce deadlines across departments.
• Fluency in AP style; ability to work with Mac, Adobe InDesign and publishing management systems.
In addition to copyediting, the ideal candidate will serve as a support to the managing editor and copy chief (creating issue maps, working with ad sales, liaising with the editor-in-chief and executive editor, etc.), so excellent interpersonal skills are crucial. |
