Job Requirements Minnesota Monthly magazine is seeking a Senior Editor with the ability to write and edit engaging magazine content, from quippy Q&As to long-form literary-journalism features. This position collaborates with the magazine’s Editorial Director in conceiving story ideas and editing the work of staff and freelance writers. The Senior Editor will be responsible for managing copy flow for the print issues as well as contributing to Minnesota Monthly’s digital content and events. This editor must be both detail-oriented and a big-picture thinker: we're looking for someone who has the eagle eye to notice the em dash that should be an en dash and the judgment to know what turns a topic into a story.

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, a minimum of 5 years of print/online journalism experience, and a deep knowledge of Minnesota and its culture. The interview process will include an editing test.
