The Mobile Marketing and Partnerships Senior Manager plays a critical role in supporting adoption and engagement of the AOL family of mobile applications and mobile websites through developing paid campaign and business partnership strategy.
The Mobile Marketing and Partner Strategist coordinates between product teams, brand strategy, media operations and business development groups to develop cohesive go-to-market plans. The ideal candidate will have a wide range of experience in the mobile marketplace and interest helping to shape the future.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Track and report mobile product development across numerous brands creating a promotional calendar representative of best opportunities to increase market share
-Develop and leverage relationships with companies in mobile hardware, software and distribution for product placement and partnership opportunities.
-Coordinate meetings to present upcoming app releases to App Stores in order to keep platform partners aware of AOL’s offerings and obtain feature placements
-Stay abreast of the mobile marketplace and update the senior strategy team on developments, trends and how they relate to the AOL business model
-Partner with Media Operations to develop paid marketing strategies for mobile app and web launches as well as evergreen distribution to maintain high visibility and adoption by end users
-Collaborate with in-house analytics and reporting teams to develop best-in-class reporting and insights
-Drive mobile research projects by collaborating with in-house research team. Actively track demographic, psychographic and sentiment of existing users as well as the overall marketplace
Desired Skills:
-Expert knowledge of the mobile application and mobile web fields
-Experience in business development, specifically working with mobile OEMs and App stores
-Analytics expertise and the ability to drive business decisions through data
-Understanding of design and copywriting principals
-Exceptional written, presentation and one-on-one skills
-Ability to work in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment
-Ability to respond to frequent demands from multiple customers
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
-MBA or relevant graduate degree is a plus
-5 to 8 years of related experience in digital marketing, including background experience in mobile and partnerships
-A proven track record of successful strategic marketing campaigns and partnerships
-Well-developed contact list in the mobile marketplace
-Analytics certification is a plus
