This position reports to a Client Finance Manager, works closely with the Client Business Analysts, and is a liaison between the Client, Account Management, Production Departments and the Finance Department. The Senior CBA is responsible for proactive job cost management and reporting on their assigned clients.
Responsibilities:
Overall Financial Management of Accounts
•Job maintenance (opening, closing and blocking jobs as appropriate)
•Create non-production estimates
•Schedule and lead monthly billing meetings
•Coordinate monthly billings with the Client Business Analysts, checking invoices for accuracy and ensuring the integrity of client billing contract requirements
•Distribute client billings and pursue timely collections
•Continually monitor actual charges vs. estimate for all jobs taking appropriate action when WIP is at risk
•Prepare necessary job-to-job expense or time transfers
Financial Reporting
•Prepare and analyze monthly Accounts Receivable (AR) and Work in Process (WIP) reports
•Prepare monthly Unbillable Reports and necessary journal entries
Maintain Client Budgets
•Ensure that Account Management is abreast of actuals vs. budget
•Work with Client to prepare quarterly/annual accruals
Understand and comply with Client Contracts as they relate to compensation, billing, financial reporting and other deliverables
Adhere to Draftfcb, IPG and Sarbanes-Oxley policies and procedures
Challenge current processes, identifying and implementing effective, efficient solutions
Ad hoc Reporting and Miscellaneous Client Specific Duties as Required
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
•At least 1-2 years Accounting/Finance experience
•Must be a self-starter
•Strong organizational skills, with the ability to plan and execute tasks appropriately
•Effective written and oral communication skills
•Ability to identify and take action on client related problems and issues
•Disciplined to perform all job duties in a complete, accurate, and timely manner
•Strong aptitude toward a PC environment, proficiency in MS Excel required
•Willing to work as a team player
•Overtime as dictated by business conditions
