| Job Requirements |
We are seeking an enthusiastic and focused managing editor for our technology websites, covering business communications, cloud computing, mobile, social media, IT and network infrastructure, wearable tech, and more.
In addition to managing a team of in-house writers, the managing editor will be responsible for:
• Developing a knowledge and understanding of technology industries
• Generating original story ideas focused on industry news, trends, and analysis
• Creating exceptional content daily for TMC’s online properties
• Developing and fostering growth among in-house staff
• Maintaining and updating training programs for in-house staff
• Becoming an ambassador for TMC and its associated brands
• Advancing relationships with the technology vendor community
• Developing and maintaining news sources and relationships with industry experts
• Managing and enhancing client relationships
Candidates will require strong organizational and leadership qualities, exemplary writing, editing and communications skills, the ability to work under constant deadlines, a desire to become immersed in the tech media business and, most importantly, the energy and determination to succeed and lead a team of talented writers.
Knowledge of technology and/or communications is a tremendous asset for this position. Proven track record of editorial excellence and leadership is a must.
