The Chronicle of Higher Education seeks an enterprising and experienced reporter to cover the world of graduate education and the students who aspire to be part of the next generation of college faculty.
This reporter will cover all aspects of graduate life, including students' training and education, workplace conditions, job prospects, and career paths. The person also will examine the track records of graduate programs, including on student retention and job placement.
The Chronicle is looking for an engaging storyteller who can expertly navigate the academic world and write with an insider's knowledge of graduate education. A Ph.D. or personal experience in graduate school is a big plus. He or she must also have a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, write with authority and clarity, and generate strong story ideas, framed for a national audience.
