Alexandra Nicholson To Leave USA TODAY; Open Jobs!
Social media strategist Alexandra Nicholson (pictured) is leaving USA TODAY as of Dec. 23, we’ve learned.
She’ll be moving to Boston to work for Cone, Inc., a marketing firm that counts Ben & Jerry’s and Jiffy Lube among its clients.
In the meantime, USA TODAY is shuffling people around in its social media group.
Michelle Kessler, formerly Online Technology Editor, will become USA TODAY’s Social Media Editor, a new position. Glenna DeRoy (formerly a USATODAY.com homefront editor) will become USA TODAY’s Social Media Analyst. DeRoy and Kessler will be taking over Nicholson’s blogging and Tweeting duties. (Deets here.)
Meanwhile, Nicholson’s supervisor Wendy Matneyhas been named Director of Audience Development.
