Lost Remote Joining Mediabistro Team (TVSpy)
WebMediaBrands, the parent company of Mediabistro and TVSpy, has acquired the popular social TV blog Lost Remote. Cory Bergman, who founded Lost Remote 13 years ago, will continue to play an active role in the site, as will longtime contributor Natan Edelsburg.

The New Yorker Lands On the iPhone (AllThingsD)
Here's another way to crack the "big stack of old New Yorkers you don't have time to get to" problem: You can now read the magazine on your iPhone, via a new app. If you've used the New Yorker's iPad app, then you'll have a very good sense of what you're getting here: All of the magazine's content, along with a small handful of digital goodies, delivered to your device via Apple's Newsstand.

Chrome Passes IE as Most Used Web Browser (AppNewser)
According to the latest data from StatCounter, Chrome was showing up on a full third of the computers online during the month of July. IE came in a close second with 32 percent, and Firefox came in a distant third place with 23 percent. Safari claims a 7 percent market share, putting it far out of the game.
