Target: Blogs Don't Matter
As pointed out by Newsbusters, Todd Defren and Gawker, Target doesn't wish to communicate with us bloggers. A Target PR rep sent the following message to a blogger questioning a recent ad campaign: Thank you for contacting Target; unfortunately we are unable to respond to your inquiry because Target does not participate with non-traditional media outlets. This practice is in place to allow us to focus on publications that reach our core guest. Once again thank you for your interest, and have a nice day. Ok, so we don't expect Target to sit around answering every request that comes in. But still, you think they would at least have kinder statement to send out. Or just not send anything at all. Why choose to alienate those interested in your brand, for whatever reason? Email This Post |
