A tipster writes into PRNewser saying the following staffers have been layed off from Mediaweek:

John Consoli, senior editor, broadcast television, Lisa Granatstein, managing editor, interactive editor, Paul Virga, art director, Kim Sullivan, photo editor

All had been with the publication for more than 10 years. Brandweek also laid off Barry Janoff, its Executive Editor of almost ten years. Writes the tipster: "Based on the longevity, salaries and importance of these people, looks like a salary dump with older people making more money getting the ax. These cuts came from above the top editors of the respective magazines who had no say in determining who was let go."
