Rob Ford Understands Why No One Likes Him

You’re probably tired of hearing about crack smoking Toronto mayor Rob Ford. But consider this quote, which he delivered to reporters yesterday before the Toronto City Council did its best to strip him of all power this morning:

“Obviously I can’t support this and I have no other options but to challenge this in court.”

But…

“I completely understand where they’re coming from. If I would have had a mayor acting the way I’ve conducted myself I would have done the same thing.”

He’s self aware! And yes, this came after the press conference that made news for a quote regarding oral sex that we won’t repeat here and the follow-up appearance, during which Ford apologized for embarrassing his wife by pulling an Eliot Spitzer and making her stand beside him so he could embarrass her even more.

This story is too cartoonish to be real, isn’t it?
