Shopkick Selects Atomic PR as AOR
BREAKING NEWS: Mobile shopping app shopkick has selected Atomic PR as its AOR after a competitive search. The firm will provide a variety of services including media outreach, strategic consultation, events management, and organizing speaking engagements. The budget for the account and the other firms that participated in the search are undisclosed.
Shopkick is a location-based mobile application that offers consumers redeemable shopping points. Atomic began its partnership with shopkick in July and has already worked on its August official launch with events in New York and San Francisco. Shopkick partners include Best Buy, Macy’s, and Sports Authority.
Going forward, the firm’s objectives include securing additional retail and brand partners and building the company’s reputation in the location-based shopping space, according to Atomic VP Martha Shaughnessy. Among the plans for the coming months are additional company announcements, a speaking engagement for shopkick CEO Cyriac Roeding at the Web 2.0 Summit in November, and a holiday program.
