A Good Year for ABC News’ Martha Raddatz

Martha Raddatz‘s promotion to chief global affairs correspondent at caps off a good year for the ABC News correspondent.

In her new role, Raddatz will also serve as George Stephanopoulos‘ primary substitute on “This Week.” Although she is known for her international reporting, Raddatz’s political expertise received glowing reviews during her turn as moderator of this year’s Vice Presidential debate between Joe Biden and Paul Ryan.

In June Raddatz was presented the Fred Friendly First Amendment Award from Quinnipiac University and this month she made The Hollywood Reporter’s annual list of “Rule Breakers”.

Raddatz, 59, joined ABC News in 1999 as the network’s state department correspondent.
