A New Set for Today Show?

While “Today” is away in London, it appears the show is getting a new set back in New York. Newscast Studio has a picture of streetside Studio 1A with its windows blacked out and wrapped with a sign that reads, “A new way to look at Today.”

The last major set redesign occurred in Sept. 2006, when Meredith Vieira joined the show.

We’ve reached out to NBC for details. We’ll let you know when we hear back.

> Update: A “Today” rep got back to us. It’s not a new set but a new exterior that is being worked on. The plan is to unveil it later this month.
