Is ABC Stealing a Line from NBC?
The sign-off, "If it's Sunday, it's 'Meet the Press'" has been a fixture at the close of the NBC public affairs show for nearly 18 years. Tim Russert started using it on his first show, Dec. 8, 1991, says an NBC insider. So what gives? A source inside ABC says the tagline began a few weeks ago, the weekend 'Meet the Press' was off due to the French Open.
