Vicki Mabrey will join Chris Bury and John Donvan as Nightline's "primary correspondents," ABC News has confirmed. "Other ABC News correspondents will continue to contribute to the show," the press release says.

"Chris Bury and John Donvan have been doing extraordinary reporting for Nightline for many years," EP James Goldston says. "Both highly respected journalists, their analysis is much appreciated by the Nightline audience. Vicki Mabrey is another fantastically talented reporter with a great track record. As a team, they will ensure that Nightline maintains and enhances its reputation as the home of first-rate quality journalism."

This seems notable: "ESPN anchor and national correspondent Jeremy Schaap, who has recently contributed sports-related stories to Nightline, will continue to file occasional dispatches for the show."

CHRIS BURY: "Joined ABC News in 1982 and has been a correspondent for Nightline since January 1993. In addition to his reporting duties, he served as principal substitute anchor on the program and has covered many national and international stories during his tenure. In September 2003 he reported and anchored Nightline from Afghanistan, and during the Iraq war, he reported and anchored from U.S. Central Command in Doha, Qatar. He has reported extensively on Washington politics and was the correspondent for The Clinton Years, the multi-part series that aired on Nightline and PBS's Frontline in January 2001. The program earned the Barone Award for Excellence in Journalism."

JOHN DONVAN: "A member of ABC News for more than two decades, John Donvan has been a correspondent for Nightline since 1998 and has also served as an occasional substitute anchor on the program. During the buildup to the Iraq war, Mr. Donvan reported extensively from the Middle East and received positive reviews for his war coverage. Following Hurricane Katrina, his reports from New Orleans and the Gulf Coast region were again lauded. He has won two Emmy Awards, several Overseas Press Club Awards, and two Cine Golden Eagles.

VICKI MABREY: "Joins ABC News having been a correspondent for CBS News' 60 Minutes II since its debut in 1999. She reported on a wide range of stories, including the fight against terrorism in Yemen; Afghan women who lived under the Taliban’s rule; and the New York City Fire Department in the days following 9/11. Prior to her role at the newsmagazine, Ms. Mabrey was a London-based correspondent for CBS News from 1995-98. She joined CBS in 1992. Ms. Mabrey is the recipient of four Emmy Awards and has also received an American Women in Radio and Television Gracie Allen Award."
