Lichter, Tyndall, Angotti, Rosentiel -- Oh My!
USAT's Peter Johnson recaps election coverage on the front page of Life this morning. Where else can you find quotes from "Robert Lichter of the Center for Media and Public Affairs," "network news analyst Andrew Tyndall," "Auburn University journalism professor" Dale Harrison, "Northwestern University journalism professor" Joe Angotti, AND "Tom Rosenstiel of the Project for Excellence in Journalism" in the same story??
Time To Reflect On The NEP
After the National Election Poll's biggest test yet, the months to come will be dominated by postmortems. "By Thursday night NEP principals had received a summary of areas that will be investigated by Joe Lenski and Warren Mitofsky," TVWeek's Michele Greppi reports. The Ticker: Rove...Williams...O'Reilly!
> Fox News Sunday and Meet The Press scored interviews with Bush victory "architect" Karl Rove.
> TVSpyers wonder: Where is MSNBC contributor Lawrence O'Donnell? > "If you are seriously making plans to leave the country because you are unhappy with the results of the election, ABCNews.com would like to hear from you." > Why is NBC's Brian Williams in Tel Aviv? > And because no day is complete without a quote from Bill O'Reilly: On election night, "nine times as many Americans watched us than MSNBC," O'Reilly said late last week. "That plurality has never been seen before in the history in network news...With respect to our colleages at that other place, they're as arrogant as they get." No More Notes From Noted Now?
Is ABC's Noted Now dead? The links to it now redirect to the main Politics page. All the links to it on ABCNews.com seem to have disappeared. I wish one of the nets would run an hour-by-hour political blog...
> I hear ABC's original Note (the Bible!) will continue to run shorter than usual, as the political unit (and its Googling monkeys) take a well-deserved break from waking up at the crack of dawn... |
