Ashleigh Banfield, U.S. Citizen

truTV anchor Ashleigh Banfield is now an American citizen. Banfield tells TVNewser, “Next up, time to vote!” She’s goes even further, telling Page Six, “Perhaps the 28th Amendment will allow naturalized citizens to be president one day, and Arnold [Schwarzenegger] will lead the way.”

Banfield, a native of Canada, took the oath last Friday. Her truTV colleagues threw her a surprise party complete with “red, white and blue cupcakes and signs that said ‘Banfield for President.’”
