Gracie Allen Awards: The Winners
• CBS News got six awards. Honored were 60 Minutes, the CBS Evening News, and The Early Show. An Individual Achievement nod for Outstanding Reporter/Correspondent went to Nancy Giles of CBS News Sunday Morning. • CNBC earned two Gracies, for The Suze Orman Show and for the documentary Greenspan: Power, Money & the American Dream. • CNN won three awards, including nods to CNN Heroes and CNN Presents. Where's Molly? was cited as Outstanding Feature-Soft News. • CNN HN's Showbiz Tonight was singled out for Outstanding Magazine Show. • NBC News netted three nods, for Hoda Kotb (Outstanding Host-News Program), NBC Nightly News (Outstanding Feature-Hard News), and Mary Laurence Flynn (Outstanding Producer-News Series or Special). • Former MSNBCer Ashleigh Banfield was named Outstanding Anchor-News or News Magazine for her work on Court TV (now truTV). • Breaking the Curse with Daryn Kagan, a film that aired on PBS stations nationwide, earned a "public" Gracie.
