Bill O’Reilly on Obama Sit-down: ‘More people will see this interview than any other interview that’s ever been done in the history of mankind’

Bill O'Reilly interviews Sen. Barack Obama, Sept. 4, 2008.

Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly called into “Happening Now” this morning and made a very bold prediction: that his pre-Super Bowl interview with president Barack Obama on FOX-TV “will be the most watched interview in history. More people will see this interview than any other interview that’s ever been done in the history of mankind.”

Okay Bill. We’ll be watching. But you’ll have to top the 70 million who watched Barbara Walters interview Monica Lewinsky in 1999.

A pregame presidential interview has become the custom the last few years. Matt Lauer sat down with Obama in 2009 ahead of NBC’s telecast, and last year Katie Couric interviewed the president ahead of CBS’ coverage of the game, which ended up being the most-watched program ever with 106 million.

O’Reilly’s interview airs live at 4:45pmET Sunday.
