Cable Network Ranker: Week of June 25

The Supreme Court ruling on President Obama’s health care law didn’t make much of a dent in the overall cable network rankings last week.

As usual Fox News was the top cable news channel for the week of June 25. The network placed 4th in primetime among ad-supported cable networks with 1.77 million viewers, behind USA, History and TNT. FNC placed 5th in total day with 1.16 million viewers.

MSNBC placed 21st in primetime and 29th in total day with 764,00 and 451,000 viewers, respectively. CNN was 36th in primetime and 34thn in total day with 430,000 and 341,000 viewers, respectively.

HLN was 41st in primetime and 44th in total day, drawing 325,000 and 235,000 viewers. Current TV was 93rd in both primetime and total day, averaging 31,000 and 28,000 viewers, respectively.

Among the business nets: CNBC was 55th  in primetime and 57th in total day, drawing 184,000 and138,000 viewers, respectively. Fox Business  was 87th in primetime and 80th in total day, averaging 68,000 and 61,000 viewers, respectively. FBN was boosted in part by Lou Dobbs at 7 PM, who was able to once again top CNBC in that hour for the week. Bloomberg TV is not rated by Nielsen.
