The two cable news media criticism shows criticized CBS’s plan for an internal review of its botched Benghazi report. On CNN’s “Reliable Sources,” media critic and CBS News alum Terence Smith said “60 Minutes” needs to “re-report this story and share the results with the public.”
“We all make mistakes, myself included,” said Fox News’s Howard Kurtz, on MediaBuzz. Kurtz says Logan’s apology “just isn’t enough,” adding that the network should “appoint an outside investigator” to look into the report.
