CBS Radio News Reporter Catches Pres. Obama’s ‘Open Mic’ Comments
After other members of the White House press corps had left the room, CBS Radio News White House correspondent Mark Knoller stuck around and listened in to an audio feed of some unguarded comments Pres. Obama gave to Democratic donors last night in Chicago. Obama complained about GOP attempts to attach measures to the budget bill which would have killed parts of health care reform.
“I said, ‘You want to repeal health care? Go at it. We’ll have that debate. You’re not going to be able to do that by nickel-and-diming me in the budget. You think we’re stupid?’,” said Obama. Here’s the audio, and after the jump, how the CBS “Early Show” featured the audio during their report on his Chicago fundraisers.
