CBS Scoops State Department Emails

CBS News correspondent Sharyl Attkisson seems to have the scoop of the week so far, obtaining State Department emails that indicate that the White House was made aware on the consulate attack in Benghazi just hours after it happened, and that terrorist groups were claiming responsibility for it.

Attkisson first reported the news yesterday evening on the “CBS Evening News.” Later that night, Fox News host Sean Hannity said that FNC had “exclusively obtained” State Department emails as well, though it is apparent that the emails were the same as the ones Attkisson reported on two and a half hours earlier. This morning, CNN reporter Elise Labott also posted about the emails, citing her own source.

Attkisson’s report is below, with the FNC and CNN reports after the jump.
