Producers at CBS News have been "working on a number of interesting ideas this summer," Andrew Heyward tells USA Today. Les Moonves hasn't set a "firm timetable" for unveiling a new CBS News, but "Leslie and I have been in constant contact, and we're going to continue talking between now and Labor Day," Heyward said. "We're making good progress."
