Chuck Todd to solo anchor ‘The Daily Rundown’
As Savannah Guthrie moves to the “Today” show as co-anchor of the third hour next month — leaving the DC Fishbowl for the New York one — her MSNBC show will go on without her, says NBC News president Steve Capus. At a news conference this morning announcing Meredith Vieira‘s departure from “Today” and the ascension of Ann Curry, Natalie Morales and Guthrie, Capus says MSNBC’s “The Daily Rundown,” also airing at 9amET, will be solo anchored for now by Chuck Todd. When asked if Todd will get a new co-anchor, Capus said, “We’ll figure that out. We’re still working that out.”
