CNBC’s Best Day Ever

cnbc_10-1.jpgOn the day the Dow dropped more points than ever before, CNBC saw the highest viewership in the network’s history.

On Monday, CNBC averaged 726,000 Total Viewers during the Business Day (5amET-7pmET).

The figure is significantly higher than during CNBC’s best week ever, the week of September 15, when it averaged 502,000 Total Viewers.

In Total Viewers, CNBC’s Business Day was up 26% from last year with an average of 318,000.

In the A25-54 demo, the Business Day gained 19% from last year’s third quarter. It was the best third quarter for CNBC in the demo since 2000.

Every CNBC program during Business Day showed growth year-to-year.

Some program notes:

• Fast Money at 5pmET had its best quarter ever in both Total Viewers and the A25-54 demo.
• Street Signs at 2pmET had its best quarter since the first quarter of 2002 in Total Viewers.
• Squawk Box (6-9amET) had its best quarter ever as a three hour program.
