“The View” co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck is generating interest from other TV outlets, with her future at the program still unclear.
We reported earlier this month that Hasselbeck is unlikely to return next season. “The View” host and creator Barbara Walters denied that Hasselbeck was being pushed out, but left open the possibility that she could leave “on her own terms” at some point.
TVNewser now hears that CNN has reached out to Hasselbeck’s team about her possibly joining the channel in some form when she leaves “The View.” Another option on the table–according to a source close to the host–is to have her “gracefully exit” the daytime program by having her stay with the show, but cut back on the number of days she appears, while allowing her to pursue work elsewhere.
The New York Post first reported the CNN news this morning.
One thing is clear, regardless of what happens at “The View,” don’t expect Hasselbeck to be off TV for long.
