Newsbusters has the story of the back-and-forth this week between Sen. Hillary Clinton and Lou Dobbs. Earlier this week Clinton called out "commentators" who are exploiting anti-immigration issues, asking, "does all that hot air accomplish anything?"

Although she doesn't outright name Dobbs, the CNN anchor was enraged enough to respond to Clinton on his program last night. Apparently, he felt her comment was aimed at him, as the chyron noted, "Clinton Attacks Lou Dobbs."

Dobbs presented an immigration package, and ended with a message for Clinton. "Candidates that pander to both extremes, are, as far as I am concerned, abject fools," he said. "(They) will pay a price for it in the general election when they have to answer to the great center of the country."
