CNN’s Anderson Cooper to Anchor First 8 PM Show From Africa, Report on Famine

CNN’s Anderson Cooper moves his nightly news program to 8 PM ET tonight. Over the weekend Cooper, along with Sanjay Gupta, traveled to Africa to report on the devastating famine in Somalia. Cooper will anchor his first 8 PM show from the region, reporting on the situation in Eastern Africa.

“AC360″ coverage will be titled “Somalia: On the Frontlines of Famine.”

Gupta had to pull out of the New York City triathlon in order to travel to Africa.

As we reported earlier, CBS is also sending its signature anchor to the region in Scott Pelley.
