Darren Rovell Leaving CNBC for ESPN and ABC

CNBC’s sports business reporter Darren Rovell is leaving Englewood Cliffs and heading for Bristol.

Rovell will be a sports business reporter for ESPN and ABC. “I will also be doing regular business reporting for ABC News, where I will definitely be covering the food & drink biz,” he Tweeted.

A CNBC spokesperson tells TVNewser, “We thank Darren for all of his hard work and quality reporting over the past six years. We wish him well.”

Rovell joined CNBC in 2006 from ESPN, where he was a reporter for ESPN.com, “SportsCenter,” “Outside the Lines,” and had weekly segments on ESPNEWS.
