At the very end of “ABC World News,” Jonathan Karl had a segment on the “Plan B” vote (it would eventually fail). After the segment, Diane Sawyer had a few kind words for Karl, announcing his new role for ABC viewers.
“I want to congratulate you on a new reporting role for ABC News, our new Chief White House Correspondent,” Sawyer said “We are so excited and looking forward to seeing you over at the White House.”
