Donald Trump to Chuck Todd: ‘I am doing NBC a favor by doing this show’

GOP primary debate moderator/reality show host/real estate entrepreneur Donald Trump laid into Chuck Todd this morning. It started badly, and didn’t get much more informative after that. A little bit. But not much. The interview got off on the wrong foot based on the premise of the booking. Trump:

“Your statement is false. You said, ‘Donald Trump wanted to respond to a poll.’ Well, I didn’t want to respond. Your people called my office about 40 times asking me to go on the show. It’s dishonest what you’re saying, Chuck. I wish you would just sort of say it like it is. I think you would do better. I think you would get better ratings if you did that.
