Evening News Ratings: Week of May 28
“NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” wins the week of May 28 with a +925,000 viewer lead on ABC “World News with Diane Sawyer.”
Compared to the same week last year all three shows were up in Total Viewers but only “CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley” was also up in younger viewers: +11%. Pelley joined the show one year ago tomorrow, June 6, 2011.
Due to the Memorial Day holiday, ABC’s and CBS’s averages are based on 4 days (Tues-Fri), while NBC’s is based on 3 days (Tues, Thurs, Fri) as NBC carried NHL Stanley Cup Game 1 on Wednesday.
