Evening News Ratings: Week of April 2
ABC's World News with Charles Gibson topped NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams last week. The total viewer gap was 440,000 -- "ABC's greatest total viewing advantage over NBC in nearly nineteen months (week of August 8, 2005)," ABC says.
But, like the week before when NBC was #1, the demo race is very close. Just 60,000 demo viewers separated the two programs.
For the week of April 2:
Total viewers: NBC: 7,640,000 / ABC: 8,080,000 / CBS: 6,190,000
25-54 demo: NBC: 2,340,000 / ABC: 2,400,000 / CBS: 1,900,000
25-54 rating: NBC: 1.9/8 / ABC: 2.0/8 / CBS: 1.6/6
