After two weeks in second place, ABC's World News with Charles Gibson returned to the number one spot in both total viewers and the A25-54 demo. ABC was up big week-to-week (400,000 total viewers) while NBC dropped significantly (280,000). CBS was up 220,000 total viewers week-to-week. Also, all three networks saw gains in the demo.
