Expanded Evening, Morning Newscasts for Malaysia Flight 17, Israeli Ground Offensive

NBC News plane crashAs wall-to-wall coverage of Malaysia Airlines flight 17 and the launch of the Israeli ground offensive in Gaza continues, the broadcast and cable networks are planning special coverage for the evening newscasts tonight and the morning newscasts tomorrow.

All three evening newscasts will be expanded to an hour tonight. “ABC World News” will be anchored by David Muir, while “CBS Evening News” and “NBC Nightly News” will be helmed by their respective regular anchors, Scott Pelley and Brian Williams.

On CNN, Anderson Cooper will anchor from 8-10pmET and Don Lemon will anchor from 10-12pmET. After that, CNN will simulcast four hours of CNN International. In the morning, “Early Start” will be live at 4amET. CNN has several correspondents en route to Ukraine, Moscow and Amsterdam.

All three Fox News primetime shows — “The O’Reilly Factor,” “The Kelly File” and “Hannity” — will be live tonight. After “Hannity,” Megyn Kelly will host another live hour of “The Kelly File” from 11-12pmET. Steve Harrigan is en route to Ukraine for FNC. Jennifer Griffin will report from Washington and Amy Kellogg will report from London. Tomorrow morning, “Fox & Friends First” will be live an hour early at 4amET.

MSNBC will cover the crash during its regular primetime programming.

Al Jazeera America’s coverage will be anchored by Tony Harris from 4-7pmET. Al Jazeera’s primetime and late evening programming will feature coverage of the crash, utilizing Al Jazeera English resources on the ground in Ukraine, Moscow, Kuala Lumpur and London.

CNBC will produce a special report at 7pmET, anchored by Tyler Mathisen and Michelle Caruso-Cabrera.

Fox Business will also have a special report anchored by Lou Dobbs at 7pmET.

Bloomberg TV will have live coverage from Asia from 7pm-midnight.
