Fox News Announces Election Night Plans

fnclogo_10-29.jpgFox News will debut a brand new High Definition studio on Election Night, as viewers can watch FOX broadcasting on the network or the Fox News cable outlet (or on Fox News Radio...or on The Strategy room on Foxnews.com).

Brit Hume anchors, beginning at 6pmET, on FNC, and Shepard Smith begins the FOX broadcast at 7pmET. Chris Wallace anchors between the two networks.

The two lead analysts will be Howard Wolfson and Karl Rove. Sean Hannity, Alan Colmes, Bill O'Reilly and Greta Van Susteren contribute throughout the night. Bill Hemmer is back on the "Bill-board." Megyn Kelly analyzes exit polls.

Also, another option if you're in New York City on Election Night will be FNC's Times Square News Astrovision screen — or an 18x14 screen in front of the News Corp. building.

FOX News Channel (FNC) will provide live continuous coverage of Election Night beginning at 6:00PM ET on November 4th. (The day will kick off with live programming beginning at 5am.) Brit Hume will kick off the evening's coverage joined by Chris Wallace and panelists Fred Barnes and Bill Kristol from The Weekly Standard, Juan Williams of National Public Radio, and Nina Easton of Fortune magazine.

· Coverage will emanate from FNC's all new High Definition studio, which will be debuted that evening, and analysis will be provided by both the former Co-chief Strategist and Communications Director for Senator Hillary Clinton Howard Wolfson and former Senior White House Advisor to President Bush Karl Rove.

Sean Hannity, Alan Colmes, Bill O'Reilly and Greta Van Susteren will contribute their perspectives throughout the evening with Megyn Kelly analyzing exit poll information and Bill Hemmer tracking results on his electronic 'Bill-board'.

Carl Cameron will be live from the McCain Campaign Headquarters in Phoenix and Major Garrett will be reporting live from the Obama Headquarters in Chicago. FNC correspondents Caroline Shively, Wendell Goler, Eric Shawn and Mike Emanuel will additionally be reporting from battleground states across the country.

Another feature of FNC's election coverage is "The Strategy Room" which will be live via webcast on foxnews.com from outside of FNC's NY Headquarters beginning at 5:00PM ET on Election night and will be anchored by Brian Wilson and Martha MacCallum. FNC’s election coverage will also be broadcast live from two locations in New York City- the Times Square News AstroVision by Panasonic screen and a jumbo 18x14 screen in front of the FNC's NY headquarters beginning at 6:00PM ET.

FOX Broadcast Company

FOX News Channel's (FNC) Shepard Smith will anchor FOX Broadcast Company's live election night coverage beginning at 7:00PM ET on November 4th. Commentary will be provided by panel members Rich Lowry of The National Review, political consultant Kirsten Powers, political analyst Mark Lamont Hill and economic analyst Jim Van Camp.

Political correspondent Molly Henneberg will report live from the McCain campaign headquarters in Phoenix while correspondent Steve Brown will be live from the Obama headquarters in Chicago. Smith will go live to correspondents and reporters from various polling locations in battleground states via a giant 12x12 electronic cube. Each side of the cube will display a different scene from around the country.

FOX News Sunday host, Chris Wallace will also contribute to the coverage as well former Co-chief Strategist and Communications Director for Senator Hillary Clinton Howard Wolfson, former Senior White House Advisor to President Bush Karl Rove, former Republican Senator from Pennsylvania Rick Santorum, and former Vice Presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro.

FOX News Radio

FOX News Radio (FNR) will provide coverage beginning at 7:00PM ET anchored by Mike Majchrowitz along with Jeff Birnbaum of The Washington Times. Reporter Rich Johnson will be live in Phoenix from the McCain Campaign Headquarters and Todd Starnes will report live from the Obama Campaign Headquarters in Chicago. Also, FNR reporters will be stationed at key battleground states including Florida, Ohio and Virginia.
